When Spies of Mississippi premiered on PBS in 2014, filmmaker Dawn Porter wanted her audience to engage beyond the 60-minute film. Thus Joe Zeff Design and Trilogy Films teamed up and the “appumentary” was born. It contains interviews, film excerpts, interactive maps, historical documents, biographies, discussion topics, and printable lesson plans for use in middle and high school classrooms.
